Hantara Waterfalls
A pleasant spot to rest, this small waterfall is around 1.5km from the main road, providing a good excuse to get out of the car and stretch your legs. Nearby you can find the foundations of an old watermill, thought to date from the 1900s.

Kalidonia
Just outside the village of Platres, this waterfall is one of the most famous attractions in the area. Though it only stands 12m high, the cool, shady cascade is worth a visit. It can be reached by car, or by following the nature trail that begins 350m off the main road from Troodos to Platres, near the presidential
summer house.
Millomeris Waterfalls
Until recently, these falls (which are higher than the Kalidonia) were little known, simply because they were so hard to reach. In the last few years the area has become more accessible, with a loose-surface (but manageable) road and then a stairway leading to the base of the falls, or via a 1km hike from Platres village church. If you get a chance to stop by in the winter the waters are much fiercer.
Old Olive Mill review
A manually-operated mill used for producing olive oil sits in a traditional wood and stone-built room. The heavy grindstone and wicker baskets complete the press, while various other instruments used in rural life are displayed around the room.

Metamorphosis tou Sotiros
Situated at the summit of a slope in the eastern end of Palaichori, this pleasant church was built somewhere between the 15th and 16th centuries. The anonymous frescoes feature a number of lions: some are intimidating Daniel in their den; one draws near to bury Osia Maria; another has been tamed by Saint Mamas and now runs with the saint on his back. The iconic image of Saint George and Saint Demetrios riding on horseback together is one of a kind on the island, and perhaps for this reason the church has been included on UNESCO's list of monuments for preservation.
